We must all begin somewhere…
Hello World…Welcome to my inaugural blog. Thanks to the EVO Blogging for Educators group for planting their collective feet in my behind and propelling me into the 21st century and the World of Blogging…I am an ESOL teacher originally from Canada, but currently residing in New York City. I teach General English, General Intensive English, TOEFL test prep, and one-on-one English and literacy tutoring. It is my intention to use this blog for my students, as a vehicle for dialogue and communication. It is my hope that this blog will provide a site for the exchange of ideas and become more than just a place to practice English…. Stay tuned!Gina

I will stay tuned, Gina, and I am sure this place will be a vehicle for discussion and learning for your students.
I read you were from Canada. Where exactly? I spent last year at the University of Toronto where I had a wonderful stay. The graduate program is excellent and I was able to audit several courses, learn tons and meet wonderful colleagues from all over the world.
Hope to come back again to visit your blog.
Cheers,
Berta from Caracas

Hi Berta … and everybody!
Thank you all for your words of encouragement!!!!
To answer your question, Berta, I’m from Montreal. My parents and family are all in Canada still–Montreal and Calgary. Toronto is a great city… I have friends who live there.
See you in the blogosphere!
